The Comfort Cookbook

Research | Writing | Promotion

During the first national lockdown in 2020, I teamed up with two talented Cornish freelancers – photographer Ali Green and writer Lucy Studley – to create The Comfort Cookbook.

Together, we wrote, designed, and promoted this digital publication to raise much-needed funds for the charity Hospitality Action.

The cookbook features over 50 easy-to-make recipes from some of the region’s top chefs.

Comfort was produced on a shoestring budget and made available for download via JustGiving, with readers donating whatever they could in exchange for the book.

We were thrilled to raise £6.7k for the charity!

  • "Your work rate, design, photography and promotion has been extraordinary and words cannot really thank you enough for the work that you have done."

    - Stuart Mathieson, Board Member HASW

  • "It is such a stylish, beautiful and comprehensive publication delivered in an innovative way, perfect for the situation that we are all faced with and accessible for everyone"

    - Hospitality Action SW

  • The book is beautiful – I’ve enjoyed every page of it – and the funds you are raising will make a transformational difference to hospitality families in crisis.

    - Mark Lewis, Chief Executive HA

  • Raised over £6.7k for Hospitality Action.
